01 / WHAT IT HELPS YOU THINK ABOUT
Questions a reading can help you put into words.
01
Strengths
What do I do well without trying, and where does that same strength cost me something?
02
Relationships
Why do some people feel easy to be around, while others stretch me?
03
Direction
Which pattern keeps showing up in my work and choices, and what could I try differently?
A written perspective to reflect on and return to as your questions develop.
02 / HOW IT WORKS
Two traditions. A considered personal interpretation.
Your birth details provide the starting point. The astrologer will read the symbols and chart themes in relation to your question, then write the interpretation in plain English.
1 of 260
20 GLYPHS × 13 TONES
● MAYAN · THE COUNT
● WESTERN · THE SKY
Illustration of the two systems, not your chart. Yours is one of the 20 glyphs, with a tone from 1 to 13.
MAYAN · THE SACRED COUNT
Your birth glyph and tone
The sacred count gives your birth date a glyph and a tone: one combination in a repeating 260-day calendar. Your astrologer will interpret their traditional meanings as the foundation of your personal reading.
What does this mean?
Your birth date maps to a symbol and a number in a repeating 260-day calendar. The symbol is your birth glyph; the number is called your tone. We use their traditional meanings as a starting point for describing your strengths and patterns. You don’t need to learn the calendar: the reading explains the terms as it goes.
WESTERN · THE BIRTH CHART
Your Sun, Moon and planets
Your Western chart adds the planets and their relationships at your birth. A known time and birthplace add the Rising sign and houses. Your astrologer will work with the detail your birth information supports, without filling in missing facts.
What does this mean?
A birth date is enough to start. A known time and birthplace let us add details such as the Rising sign and houses. If those details are missing, we leave out what we cannot calculate reliably and explain where the chart is approximate.
BOTH · THE THREAD
Where the two meet
The astrologer will bring the two traditions together around a meaningful theme in your reading, explaining a connection or contrast and how it could appear in ordinary life.
What does this mean?
The calendar gives us one set of themes. Your birth chart gives us another. The astrologer will look for a meaningful connection or contrast between them, then explain it through an everyday situation. This is the part called The Thread: where separate descriptions become one idea you can reflect on.
03 / AN EXAMPLE
The kind of connection a reading explores.
An illustration of the method, with the symbols and meanings behind it.
THE SKY & THE SACRED COUNT
ILLUSTRATIVE METHOD EXAMPLE
BORN 25 JULY 1990 · DATE ONLY
9 Eagle · Men · Tone 9
Sun in Leo
Snapshot
A visionary who sees the whole map, with the patience of Tone 9 to carry an idea all the way to its finish.
Your Birth Glyph
Eagle is described as independent, ambitious and inventive: critical, meticulous, and a little inclined to escape. Its gift is inner vision, the ability to see the big picture before others do.
The Thread
Eagle likes the view from above: you see the whole map, and you are often content to work on it alone. Your Sun in Leo pulls the other way. It wants the work to be seen, and it notices when nobody looks up. Together they describe someone who can disappear into a long project and then feel oddly unrecognised at the end. Tone 9’s patience is what gets the project finished; the open question is whether you let people in before it is.
BEHIND THIS EXAMPLE
Entered
Birth date 25 July 1990. No birth time, so no Rising sign or houses.
Calculated
9 Eagle (Men), Tone 9 · Patience. Sun in Leo.
Source meanings used
Eagle: “inner vision… the big picture”, “a little escapist”. Tone 9: “the patience that carries plans through to their final completion”. Sun in Leo: “becomes itself by being seen making something worth watching”.
Relationship
A tension, not an agreement: one source favours distance, the other wants to be seen.
This example illustrates the method; it is not a commissioned reading or a customer testimonial. The astrologer-written service is still in preparation.
